If I were an ember of hope
I would soothe your heart and help you cope
Rewrite some tattered pages of your past
Unburden your mind from overcast…
An inspired you, I would recast.
If I were an ember of time
I would calm your angst from broken ties
Erase the tattlers’ tales and hurtful lies
Free your thoughts from sad goodbyes…
A new juncture for you, I would retry.
If I were an ember of love
I would empty your core from all regrets
Refocus your sights to moments of grace
Chart your memories with thoughts that lift…
A renewed version of you would be my gift.
For the heart roars with poetry, when it hits a turning point…~mtg
