Confines of Life

Life is
A constant shadow
Lurking and creeping behind you
In every alley,
Cornered,
You start to feel trapped
Closed in
And claustrophobic too
But in this dark life
There’s light.
Death is not this light
One could say that is
But no light, your escape
Is you.
